Dearbridge provides cost effective financial accounting and consultancy to SMEs that don’t require a full time finance manager or FD. 

From payroll to board level strategic consultancy, we provide timely, accurate and informed management information and strategy, alongside a host of specialist expertise such as debt and equity funding, tax planning and compliance so you can get on with growing your company.  

Formed in 2020 by Andy Allan, Dearbridge aims to provide SMEs with a suite of ‘on demand’ financial services that takes the hard work out of getting a clear financial picture, mitigating risk and allowing you to plan for the future when building a business.

With bases in Manchester, Liverpool and Jersey, Dearbridge is ideally placed to support companies across the UK.

  • Andy Allan, Portfolio Finance Director

    Through my various CFO and FD roles over the years, I’ve seen the transformative power a well run finance department can have over a company’s growth. I founded Dearbridge to offer these services to SMEs who might otherwise not be in a position to access them.

    My role in the company is to act as Financial Director, offering high level strategic consulting including debt and equity fund raising, advice and support for refinancing and developing financial models.

    I’m lucky enough to live by the Norfolk coast and love to spend time outside enjoying the scenery with my family and keeping fit. I’m a keen cyclist and triathlete and like to pair this with fundraising, alongside my work as Chair of Trustees for a charity delivering the DofE Award.

  • Martin Bell, Portfolio Financial Controller

    At Dearbridge my role is to help clients implement financial controls across their business to maintain liquidity, cash flow and cost controls. I also produce relevant, tailored Management Accounts and Board Packs, and oversee all Statutory Reporting.

    My previous roles have included working as Group Financial Accountant and Head of Group Reporting for large property firms. Knowing that I’ve done the best job possible for my clients, by creating efficient and properly functioning finance functions with diligence, integrity and ethics is what motivates me.

    Outside of work I am a long term and enthusiastic supporter of Burnley FC, with Burnley being where my roots are. I also love to travel, with New Zealand and Japan being amongst my favourite places I've been to - so far!

  • Sally Welch, Portfolio Finance Manager

    My role is to support my clients in getting everything in place for well-ordered and managed financial controls. This includes ensuring that we provide accurate and time sensitive information to support your day-to-day operations running smoothly.

    I’ve worked in financial accounting since the age of 18, across various different sectors, and find immense satisfaction in setting up reporting structures that work for all levels of financial understanding and help to steer the business in the right direction.

    In my spare time, I love to get out and about, travelling to sunny spots and enjoying the theatre, concerts and cinema - my tastes are more Pulp Fiction and Imagine Dragons than romcoms and power ballads though!
